Seagram Pearce
Seagram Pearce is a commercial photographer and automotive director whose work blends technical mastery with a sharp, cinematic sense of storytelling. Based in Cape Town and working globally, he has built a career around lighting, precision, and a disciplined curiosity that turns complex productions into controlled, collaborative environments.
He is best known for campaign-level automotive imagery, global advertising work, and his ability to break a brief down to its essential components. Whether shooting cars, lifestyle, or high-end product, Seagram approaches each project with the same instinctive process: reverse engineer the desired result, build the production from the ground up, and light the subject until it feels both flawless and alive.
His signature line, “I can create that, and let us light it to look amazing,” reflects the confidence earned through decades of studying physics, colour, lenses, rigs, environments, and the psychology behind what makes an image sell. This blend of technical discipline and emotional intent is why agencies trust him with campaigns that demand consistency at scale.
Seagram has produced major commercial work across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the United States. One of his flagship projects was the global launch campaign for the Ford Everest, an intense and ambitious multi-week shoot across China. Originally created for the Pan Asia region, the work was later adopted worldwide in recognition of its clarity and strength.
He has also delivered international campaigns for brands such as BMW, Volkswagen, Toyota, Kia, Lexus, Ferrari, Porsche, Scania, Isuzu, and Chevrolet. Whether shooting in the mountains of Spain, the deserts of Dubai, the streets of Los Angeles, or a remote corner of the Chinese countryside, his calm problem solving and deep lighting knowledge anchor the entire crew.

Seagram began in editorial work, self taught and driven by an early obsession with understanding how things work. Curiosity shaped him, and it still does. New teams, new cities, and new pressures only sharpen his craft. His technical confidence gives him the freedom to adapt, improvise, and push beyond the safe version of the brief.
As both photographer and director, he works from a unified lighting philosophy. Tools change, including stills, film, rigs, motion plates, or LED volumes, but the intention remains constant. Light with purpose, shape the subject, and build an image that carries weight. This consistency allows him to create high end visuals across both motion and stills.
Awards from the SAGMJ, Media24, and international competitions mark his long standing presence in the automotive space, including titles such as Automotive Photographer of the Year and Motoring Photographer of the Year.
Looking ahead, Seagram continues to refine the artist he has worked his life to become. He evolves with new technology, expands his agency, and integrates modern tools into a proven approach to production. What drives him is the same force that guided him as a kid with a sketchbook and a head full of questions: curiosity, discipline, and the silent thrill of making something that did not exist the day before.
He drinks his americanos black, keeps things easy on set, and stays hungry to learn, build, and collaborate.
